Startups Journeys - the role of investors & advisors

10 Oct 15:00-17:30 at Rise, 231 Deansgate, Manchester M3 4EN

Thanks to our Startup Fund partners, Ward Hadaway and SendGrid, this workshop will be an opportunity for startups at any stage to learn from other startup stories and our panel of mentors.

John Kershaw from M14 Industries will host the session and our mentors include Doug Scott, serial entreprenuer and founder of potential.co, Anna Bofill Bert, Team Lead EMEA from SendGrid, Stephen Price of Northstar Ventures and Bill Goodwin, Partner at Ward Hadaway. The panel will be moderated by George Bettany, Programme Director for Ignite.

Your host for the session

John is the founder of M14 Industries, a company allowing anyone to have their own dating app. M14’s first app, Bristlr, connects those with beards to those who want to stroke beards. After going though the Ignite startup accelerator, and recently closing an angel-backed funding round, they now work with some of the largest brands in the world and are one of the most exciting startups in the North.
